Yesterday, I decided to give away my much loved Calvin and Hobbes treasury. The guy I gave it to is in a real tight spot at the moment and I figured he needed cheering up more than I do. So, now it belongs to him.
It's sort of the last vestige of Amiga Power I had, except for the shirt and letter they gave me years ago.
I always felt stupid reading their magazine, mostly because I knew if I sent something in my poor grammar would probably send them up the wall. And when I did, it didn't take long for them to mess up what I'd written for them. Sure, it was an honour to get a two-page spread and I even managed to sneak in a picture of one of the staff dressed up as the mekon, but still I felt a little let down. But it was my fault for being so crappy at English, so I couldn't really expect more.
Anyway, that's in the past isn't it? I decided to move on, in spite of things that happened afterwards. I now know I'd be the most hated AP fan in the history of it's publication and as much as I never give up on people, I believe they gave up on me the minute they laid eyes on me. I'll admit to you I took things to extremes, but at the time I was already deeply hurt and all they did was rub salt on the wound.
Now that I've gone through the process of losing everything (On more than one occasion), I've come to realise that I should shed myself of old alliances and just forget I ever read the mag (Not that I have them anymore, anyway, I threw them all in the bin a long time ago.)
Anyway, anybody, know the tune to the Littlest Hobo? I think that it would be appropriate right about now. That, or the piano theme from The Incredible Hulk...

Also, I think since your reading my journal I'll friend you. It'll save me from having to unscreen your comments every time.

Do it past everyone in a meeting, just prior to going in, and you can actually garentee somone in there will hum it out loud...
then, every one else gets realy spooked, cos they were thinking of the same tune, and don't relise you started it...
Between, me and andy doing it for a few months, we had a very strange set of weekly meetings!
